Nice staff that explains well and let's you know options as well as the one they recommend. Nicer seats in the waiting area would be nice to make it feel more inviting to also complement the service.

Extremely disappointing experience. I took my cat Hector to Lincoln Edge Vets and showed the vet, Adam, his rectal prolapse. His initial reaction was to laugh, something the practice has since apologised for. Adam first tried to push the prolapse back in while I held Hector. When it would not go back in, he called a nurse and wanted to take Hector away from us so she could restrain him while he tried again. We refused and insisted that it be done in front of us. The nurse then held Hector tightly while Adam attempted it again with considerably more force. It still did not work, and Hector subsequently bled. The veterinary guidance we have read is clear that a prolapse should not be forced back in when it is not reducing easily. This was the main reason for our complaint. Despite this, the practice responded that they were “content that the approach taken was reasonable.” They also focused heavily on Adam not having Hector’s complete medical records. This is not an excuse for how he was handled. We explained Hector’s relevant history ourselves and know his medical history, investigations and results very well. I found the implication that our information as his owners was somehow inadequate both dismissive and arrogant. Adam was ultimately unable to resolve Hector’s prolapse. It eventually went back inside by itself at home after Hector passed stool, and we were left to manage the situation ourselves despite still being charged for the consultation. I would not trust this practice with any of my cats again. The only positive thing I can say is that the receptionist was very kind and thoughtful.

Staff are always fantastic with our dogs, explain the options for treatment and cost, but without pressure. Love that its so convenient within the village. Sometimes parking can be a bit tight so I prefer to walk round.

Lorna was patient and thorough with our little dog. She didn't rush and made sure we understood all options. Never felt like we were being pushed to do more and more tests. No1 concern was animal welfare, not sales. Totally recommended.

Lovely vets. Very thorough and caring. Very reasonable prices. They won’t try and push you into other treatments that you may not need/want. They listen to the owners! I recently had to have my old boy put to sleep at the age of 14, as always it was done with care and consideration. Invoice not sent for 2 weeks. Very happy with them.

Absolutely terrible experience and I will not be returning. My dog died on 28th November, which was devastating for me and my family. His body was sent for cremation and the ashes were returned around 12th December. A friend kindly collected the ashes on my behalf, and I was informed I would need to pay the invoice. The invoice was only issued around two weeks ago, yet since then I have received constant calls and repeated invoices, despite the very recent bereavement. I have been beside myself with grief and found this level of pressure deeply upsetting. On 22nd December, I called and paid the invoice in full, knowing that it needed to be settled. Despite this, I also received a letter threatening court action, stating that invoices must be paid within 30 days — even though the invoice had not been issued 30 days ago. This complete lack of compassion and understanding for a grieving pet owner is shocking. At a time when sensitivity and empathy should be paramount, I felt treated like a problem rather than a person who had just lost a beloved family member. Insensitive, distressing, and handled very poorly. I would not recommend this practice to anyone who expects care and compassion during one of the hardest moments of pet ownership.
