Rase Veterinary Centre is a general veterinary practice that’s also listed as a Veterinary Nurse Training facility. Recent reviews describe the practice handling urgent same-day problems (including being seen immediately for severe sneezing and being sent home with a week’s course of steroids) and providing aftercare with follow-up phone calls after treatment. There are also starkly negative accounts that conflict with the positives, including one owner alleging a castration complication that required multiple follow-up surgeries elsewhere, and another alleging poor hygiene and a post-spay infection.

I wasn’t going to do a review and put it to bed but after a lot of persuasion from many people I have decided to do so. Rase vets Lincoln nearly killed my dog, it was a castration with one testical being inside him, the surgery went astronomically wrong which led to him being left with less than 10% survival rate, and his insides looked like he was hit by a bus; luckily he was a fighter and survived! Due to Paragon vets in Wakefield; I understand sometimes things do go wrong but please do your research before any surgery’s you pet requires. The head customer adviser, was straight on the case which was good; after two months and over four-five surgeries he’s home but now a disabled dog; I hope he can still have a very happy life!

Amazing vets, brilliant staff. Accommodating, kind, considerate, understanding & professional. I've had two emergencies this year & I can't praise them highly enough for the quality of advice they gave before procedures & for the attention of staff during aftercare.

Poor standards, poor hygiene veterinary practice had my ragdoll spayed, rather than a small wound on her side {which is the usual way} they sliced her all the way down her belly. She's fine now but had weeks of healing and infection. Took my brothers kitten for his first injections and it was filthy, had to tell them to clean the table before I let him out of his carrier. Poor standards. No wonder they are cheaper than all the other vets.

We needed to see a vet urgently whilst on holiday in caravan. Rase Veterinary in Lincoln was fortunately open Saturday evening until 10pm and willing to see our chihuahua immediately who’d developed extensive sneezing. The vet was fantastic and thorough and advised rest and a weeks course of steroids. Total price £ 39.00 !! Amazing service, excellent staff and have been highly recommended to other caravanners on our site 😀

Yep, these people were good. We got what we wanted, antibiotics for my daughter’s lizard. We had quite a late appointment having essentially cancelled the afternoon one. Although we could have had a home visit. The ladies on reception were great and the vet himself had done some research prior to our visit. Word of advice to anyone looking to take an iguana to the vets - use a dog crate !

Never had an issue with the vets themselves, they’re always friendly and willing to talk through things & give good advice during appointments. However, (a select few!) of the reception team are honestly some of the most miserable people I’ve ever met. 9 times out of 10 I walk away from these interactions feeling really down & frustrated because no matter what you need from them, they still speak to you like dirt. They’re also totally unable to use their own initiative. My two dogs are due worm and flea treatment (the vet has text to remind us this week) and when I’ve rung up; the person on the phone has just repeatedly said they can’t dispense anymore until August. No matter how I’ve explained it, I’m getting the same sentence repeated back to me in a patronising tone. Either way my dogs are going without the crucial treatment they need here & I’m having to find it elsewhere - even though I pay for a monthly subscription. I never write reviews but please for your own sake, save yourself the turmoil of dealing with these people at all. I cannot wait to take my dogs out of there and sign them up elsewhere, purely so I don’t have to encounter the absolute mean girls on that desk again.
